Stronger, Happier, and Supported
I decided to join a postpartum fitness class because I was physically weak and lonely. I was nervous about being able to keep up with my little girl as she grew. I needed to find a workout class that would allow me to bring along my baby daughter. So when I saw the post for the postpartum fitness class I knew that I had found what I was looking for.
Before I started working out with Rikki I felt very weak and my lower back hurt all the time. I was having a hard time getting up off the floor when I was playing with my baby and was having a hard time carrying her up the stairs. I knew that it was only going to get worse as she became heavier and more mobile. I also didn't feel like myself. My body had changed so much after giving birth that even looking at myself in the mirror was hard some days. I knew I wanted to make a change.
My favorite part about the class is all of it! I think if I had to narrow it down it would be the way it makes me feel and the wonderful group of women. Going to class and working out makes me feel stronger, happier, and supported but the feeling of self accomplishment is the best. Attending the class makes me feel like I do something for myself for an hour. Finishing a workout and feeling that accomplishment is so good for my soul. The women that attend the class are so wonderful and Rikki is amazing. The support, laughter, and advice that is taught and traded during class is so fun. I am very lucky to call them friends.
The results that I've seen so far has not been the numbers on the scale but with my body. I feel stronger and my clothes fit me better. I can feel my muscles again. I can also carry my baby up stairs without getting winded. My core strength has increased so much and my lower back pain is a lot better. Rikki has been so wonderful helping me achieve my goals and setting new ones as we go.
Rikki is a wonderful teacher and creates workouts that are made for postpartum bodies helping them get stronger in all the places you need it. She pushes you to work hard and become better physically and emotionally. Every week you can see the progress in all the women who attended the class. Every week we are lifting heavier weights or doing extra reps. She also gives me modified exercises if my body just isn't quite strong enough yet. The workouts are challenging but so very rewarding. I always look forward to going to class. I am so lucky I found Rikki."
